Cameroon has one of the highest per capita incomes in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a 70% of the population involved in the agricultural sector, it is an important exporter of bananas, cocoa, palm oil, coffee and sugar. Furthermore, oil exploitation, despite its decrease since 1985, remains a fundamental sector in the national economy.

The Democratic Republic of Congo is the second most important economy in Africa and has one of the largest reserves of natural and mineral resources. It can be considered as the biggest worldwide producer of mineral cobalt and one of the largest producers of copper and diamonds, the latter coming mainly from the province of Kasai. It also has specific reserves of strategic minerals, as gold and coltan.

Kenya has a great commercial relevance in the continent. It is a traditional coffee and tea producer, and nowadays it is also focused on cut flowers exports to Europe. And yet tourism is its main source of income, a strong growth of the cement production industry is being observed. As well, this country is gaining more and more relevance in the telecommunications sector and also has an oil refinery through which they manufacture products oriented to the local market.

Uganda has a notable amount of natural resources, as fertile lands and cobalt and copper fields. Since the beginning of the 21st century, an intensification of oil and gas exploitation is taking place near Lake Albert, in the Rift Valley area. Even though, the 80% of the labor force is focused on agriculture and coffee export remains its most significant income.

The Republic of Senegal, since the mid-1990s, has launched a series of different economic measures that are causing their GDP to increase around 5% per year, focusing their efforts on their main economic sectors, as mining, tourism, cement, artificial fertilizers, refining imported petroleum products or food processing. As well, its most important exports are cotton, calcium phosphate, chemicals, peanuts or fishery, among others.

Ghana is an example of democratic journey for the continent. Apart from being a petroleum producer, it is also the second African gold exporter and the second cocoa exporter in the world. The Quantum Team has a long track record in project implementation for the hospital sector, which has been continuous over the past seven years, as well as in developing rail and airport projects.

2020 is an election year and tensions may arise over issues of potential succession and post-conflict reconciliation. Despite this, it is an important market at the regional level and average real GDP growth is expected to be over 6% in 2020-24.

Angola is undergoing a very high economic growth since the end of its civil war in 2002. It has plenty of mineral deposits (in particular, diamonds, manganese, copper and quartz), as well as oil fields. Basically thanks to the latter, its annual growth has remained around 11% in the decade between 2000 and 2010. Petroleum represents the 48.4% of the GDP versus 11% corresponding to agriculture, 6.5% to manufacture and 6.2% to construction.
