With more than 30 years of experience in the City of London, with a global outlook, he is Head of Structured Finance at Quantum. His activities focus on the facilitation and financing of international/cross border trade and export finance transactions, including project financing across a range of stakeholders, including international banks, Export Credit Agencies, the Private Political Risk Market and Multilaterals. The majority of his City career was spent at Aon PLC in Political Risk where he was responsible for creating the first Export Finance Team which specialised in securing private market support for select blue chip European banks to support their export finance emerging market lending activities. As the Global Head of Political Risk at Aon he was tasked with providing support to the overseas office network in their sales campaigns and access to market as well as continuing his export finance client facing role. Prior to joining Quantum he was Managing Director of Eurofinsa UK Limited where he worked with Commercial Banks, UK Export Finance, the UK supply chain and the Department for International Trade. Matthew spent 19 years as a commissioned officer in the British Army Reserve, in armoured reconnaissance.
