She started her career in the National Industry Institute (today SEPI) in the environmental affairs sector. Since 1995, she has gained broad experience in the foreign trade area, basically through the management of social development projects (health, education, local development) financed by multilateral institutions (European Union, the World Bank and other development banks) and by private clients in countries located in Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. Furthermore, she has served as Project Manager in more than 30 international projects, being in charge of opportunity identification, consortia building among international companies and agreement negotiation with clients. Rita holds a Degree in Law and a Master in International Trade. She currently holds the position of Project Director in the consulting department of Quantum group.
