Support project for health sector
The Health Sector Support Project-2 (PASS2), financed by the European Union with development funds, consists in providing the Ministry of Health with technical support to improve the population's health status, and more specifically children's and women's health. It aims to strengthen and upgrade the institutional capabilities of the Ministry of Health's central services at work through standards, management procedures and instruments in strategic and operational planning areas, budget development, service organization, monitoring and negotiation. It also pursues to strength and improve the provincial capability of the Ministry of Health in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Bié, Huíla and Huambo, as well as to upgrade the quality of care in maternal and child health services in hospitals and reference health centers, and more particularly to secure the health care chain related to pregnancy, birth, postpartum and neonatal care in the mentioned provinces.
