Uganda has a notable amount of natural resources, as fertile lands and cobalt and copper fields. Since the beginning of the 21st century, an intensification of oil and gas exploitation is taking place near Lake Albert, in the Rift Valley area. Even though, the 80% of the labor force is focused on agriculture and coffee export remains its most significant income.
